bradhig1
I have a Qbert cart that needs to be cleaned and I can't find any screws on it. How do you open the Parker Brothers carts?
jaybird3rd
Unfortunately, Parker Brothers seems to have glued their 5200 shells together. I also am trying to find a way to open them, without doing something drastic like taking a hammer to them. The card edge is exposed and can be cleaned without opening the shell, if that's what you're after.
+-^CrossBow^-
I know what Brad is talking about. Yes you can clean the cart edge connectors, but if you got some that are heavily corroded, then you need more access to the fingers on the cart edge to use an eraser or something on them as well. To do that well does require that you can remove the actual PCB from the cart shell. And yes PB carts are glued shut along the seams for all their carts for all systems near as I can tell. bohoki
there should be enough access to use some 800 grit sandpaper on a thin ruler to clean the contacts
bradhig1
I got a spare Combat and that spring vanished off my desk. Got another combat and finally got a spring in the Gremlins game. Anywhere to by spare springs for my combats?
