S1500
This is something I've put off for years. Still rockin' the default Samsung sounds on my S8 and I think it's time to early 80s it up. Anyone know of a site with WAV or MP3(I can convert easily) of various early 80s arcade soundbytes? I'm thinkin' like the "insert coin" thud sound for Robotron, and various sounds from Juno First. Maybe toss in a TI-99/4A sound or 2(really, only 2 I can think of) for nostalgia's sake. Oh, and Galaga "new round" sound for something like text messages. SiberianSpForces
I need to get my game sounds back on my phone. I used Foobar2000 to convert game sound files to wav and then Cool Edit Pro to tweak if needed and save as mp3. I was even able to snag in game sounds off the Twisted Metal disc. deepthaw
The horrible, off-pitch start of a new life anthem for 2600 Pac-Man could be amusing. (Not arcade, but kind of close. Not really.) Sinistar roars for text messages. Pole Position anthem for a ringtone.
Tanooki
I've kind of done this in a couple of ways. I've found sound effects of stuff I own I currently own. On my last phone which was lost, I had taken some MP3s and put them on my phone, then used an app I found that's free and had them convert to a format my iphone could pick up and had like the original Mario and Zelda themes for ringtones (and also the raiders march and imperial march too.) There is a website that's still around that'll convert whatever as well I had used too called http://ringer.org/
Bartsfam
I made some ringtones from Colecovision games awhile back. They can be found here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/203139-colecovision-ring-tones/?hl=%2Bcolecovision+%2Bringtones#entry2617251
HoshiChiri
I pulled the Sonic ring pickup noise from a sound app years ago, and I've just transferred the file from phone to phone via my laptop since. It's gotten to the point where it can be hard to play a Sonic game becuase i keep thinking I've got text messages! My acutal ringtone is the LocoRoco theme song. I just downloaded the MP3 onto my phone for that one.
derFunkenstein
When I had an Android phone I'd have custom ringtones. For a long time I had the Chemical Plant Zone theme. Then I switched to an iPhone and it's kind of tedious to do, so I stopped. I do still have the death sound from a Quadra 840AV as a text tone, though. Pulled it from the MacTracker app and renamed the file to m4r. iTunes picked it up right away.
