+atari2600land
I just got a Bandai Wonderswan Color in the mail today. It came with three games, two of which are wrestling games mostly in Japanese, and the other is GunPey, which I have on the DS somewhere. What are your recommendations on the Wonderswan? I want to get the Mr. Driller game. Slim pickings from U.S. sellers on eBay.
The Usotsuki
"GunPey", eh? Didn't think he was the type to name a game after himself. XD;
killersquirel
"GunPey", eh? Didn't think he was the type to name a game after himself. XD; He didn't. It was named after him as a tribute after he died.
BawesomeBurf
Well if reading Japanese isn't a problem, the Final Fantasy ports are great, and I believe they are what the Origins versions on PS1 are based off of. The Super Robot Compact games are also very good. A couple of good games that don't require knowledge of Japanese are Shanghai Pocket and XI (sai) Little. Also, if money isn't an issue, you could get yourself a copy of the shoot em up called Judgement Silversword. On a side note, every time I order a WS game from Japan, the sellers always seem to include some kind of card with it. So far I have gotten a One Piece card, 1 from Super Robot Wars, and 2 others that I'm not familiar with. empsolo
It's not cheap but i do heartily recommend the Wonderswan version of Megaman and Bass. It even has a few levels that use the Wonderswan's portrait mode.
Tanooki
A nice way to start would be the wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WonderSwan_games https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WonderSwan_Color_games There are some serious gems in there, language barrier on some but not all. I could start pointing out highlights, but most are obvious if you skim both those lists as they're popular/known franchise games.
Video
I wasn't aware there was a color version of the wonderswan. I don't have many games, due to it never being us-i-fied, it's mostly japanese, so I rarely play it.
