Music player test with a little gfx to swing to :)

Hi,

while getting around with the Atari Lynx and producing some test, I wrote a music player.

Just about a minute or so. The background image is from the brilliant hexquisite series.

Music was composed for this test by Jammer.

Playercode by me. I hope to get it fast enough to use it in our upcoming game project.

Fingers crossed :)

Cheers,

enthusi

Edit:

Cant really attach a LNX file, you can get it here:

I have tested on Handy only, but it looks pretty cool (scrolling is not perfectly smooth, but it might be handy), and the music sounds good (both the tune and the audio rendering).

Which compiler are you using? Do you plan to release a lib or something like that in the future?

I use XA assembler and use no libs at all.

Hence these testing cases :-)

Thanks for the feedback!

I wrote a couple of Python scripts to set up the music data or convert the gfx. I will happily share those when they reach a more final state and are requested. I only learnt from docs and tools provided by people like Björn. Sharing is essential and I am very thankful for everything that is out there. For the lnx file I still use lynxdir but work on an own loader...
