There are alot of topics on the Retron 77.  I am asking if it is time for the Retron 77 to have its own subforum?  There will be many topics I believe that will pertain to this moving forward and wanted to ask if this is a good idea and if it can be implemented.  Thoughts?

The Retron 77 talk should technically probably go into the Dedicated Systems forum, but since it's got the 2600/VCS peeps focused on it, folks are talking about it here. I'd imagine eventually the talk will migrate to the Dedicated Systems forum.

I sure hope so! Will result in less noise in the real Atari forums. ;)

I'd agree that all of the Retron77 posts should/could be consolidated into it's own Sub-Forum...

Why? It isn't a dedicated system.

Maybe there should be a Clone System subforum.

Once the newness of the 77 wears off, traffic should die down. It doesn't strike me as a forever system (though I'd love to be proven wrong)

It should get it's own forum. Between the newbies that it will (hopefully) draw here, all the tech/patch/tinkering posts, and the general nerd rage and grousing etc, it's gonna need it's own place to live.

The Kevtris stuff is still stuck in a single thread.

I am thinking it probably does. Maybe put it under the 2600 forum?

Retron 77 and the ataribox need their own forums. These two things have been harshing my atari mellow for a few months. It's still the best forum for 2600 stuff, but these discussions have pretty much hijacked the forum.

Make the new forum look like a dumpster.

One of the systems is genuinely born out of a dumpster. The other does it for a living!

I'd be for this too, just to have all topics on it in one place. Maybe move all relevant topics to dedicated systems?

I think both things will just run their course. In the meantime, why not just

I agree that it would be better to move the retron77 stuff outside the 2600 forums. I think the "classic gaming general" subforum would be a good choice.

You can move it to a new subform called "The Broken and Buggy!"
