Storing manuals and sleeves

Recommended Posts

I buy a lot of games from thrift stores and usually the CD case is pretty trashed by stickers, dirt and other garbage. Since my video game space is limited, I store my games in a CD file cabinet and keep the outer sleeve, manual and other papers in a separate box. Since I can always buy new CD cases, I trash the original. What is good way to store the outer sleeves and manuals besides just a large box?

I store manuals, catalogs, and related paperwork back-to-back in plastic sheet protectors in ring binders.

It's not necessarily practical for every type of manual--and if you have tons and tons of them it gets a little expensive--but if you can get the appropriate sizes, it's not a bad way to go. :)

I use the same method...all of my manuals are actually just layered up ontop of each other in an Atari 7800 console box LOL. I rarely need to pull them out for any reason so I've been quite content to just stick to this method. I know that doesn't help...

I keep my manuals in a little cubby area as shown here...

Most of my manuals have been printed up from PDF's. Many were made by me, the others downloaded and sometimes enhanced.

For larger manuals I hole punch them and use brass buttons to hold them together...

For smaller manuals, and to save paper, I print the majority of them in booklet form where I can get four pages to a single sheet of paper.
