There have been a few local power outages recently, some heat-related. I'm guessing Heatwave's restart sequence was interrupted, maybe during a subsequent outage. As I suspected, the auto-start sequence got interrupted and the Geneve was merrily awaiting input at the command line. I manually started the BBS batch file, which dutifully loaded the TI interpreter/OS (GPL) and Extended BASIC, and the BBS took over from there. Swim Posted July 26, 2018 Share Posted July 26, 2018 I remember way back when Bill Lucid was still running the Indianapolis BBS much talk was had about getting the TI to reboot itself when something happened but the TI was sitting waiting for carrier detect but the modem needed resetting or some glitch like that. I was glad to have the opportunity to continue your success That said, I haven't decided how long I want to continue operating Heatwave. It runs well but I haven't made any real changes or recent innovations, which was one reason for writing the softwae. I suppose like most things there will come a time to gracefully move on. The cable pin out for it was put up here a few years ago, and the compatible X-10 controllers are not that expensive on eBay either. The key there is that you need the early X-10 stuff, not the later stuff, as they changed their communications protocols and the type of communications channels they used too, IIRC.
