emarti
I decided to change tos rom on atari 1040stfm from german to UK for version 1.04. MainBoard has 2 ROM and 1MB jumper. I remove U68 and change jumper 1MB to 256K. And I programmed 27c256 ( 6 EPROMS) and setup it. I am using Atari TOS ROM splitter by PP to split img files. Only floppy, Atari ST loaded game. But for empty floppy diskettes, It displays the following picture. 4 bombs! And then system freeze. What does it mean? What did I make a mistake? Thank you. ParanoidLittleMan
There should be 3 jumpers (soldering pads rather) . All must be set for 1 MB. Unless it is some MB revision less known. 4 bombs will not say exact reason for error, of course. It seems that AES just starts not, so upper part of TOS is bad - may be exactly because no all pads are changed to 1MB. Can you make some photo of that area ? emarti
Thank you @ParanoidLittleMan. It works now. I programmed EPROMs with checked Skip 0xFF. I tried again but not checked it then Atari ST talked to me. I can take photo for you
ParanoidLittleMan
That's interesting. It seems that programmer device works not 100% reliable. Could be though that near Amiga or what is that Commodore made some bad influence It's obviously some later STFM, with place for blitter. But different from mine in component layout - C103175 REV.1.1 .
emarti
Amiga is my first love. It may be jealous.
