I just recently got one myself and it is a blast! The built in game, Mine Storm, is incredibly addictive, and Rip Off is quite fun as well. Haven't played Hyper Chase (yet!) You should make sure that it includes a controller and that the controller works 100% properly. Loose replacement controllers are hard to find and pretty expensive. Also, make sure that the console/display is in proper adjustment. These units have a tendency to get out of alignment over the years and only an experienced person should attempt to repair. Don't worry about the sound buzz, that is normal! The Vectrex has some great old games, and many new homebrew ones too. I was lucky enough to get a limited edition Protector cart (Defender clone), programmed by this guy in the UK which is truly amazing! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Prices have been dropping for Vectrex consoles on eBay. I suggest you offer $25-30 for it. There's a very active homebrew community for the Vectrex .. both software and cool hardware!
