bradhig1
I bought this replacement power supply months back from Germany and I can't find the connector to hook it up to the Colecovision? Why wasn't the connector permanently attached to it in the first place? I am sick of different video ,power ,and measurement standards. I can't stand hearing Euros saying NTSC sucks and call it Never Twice The Same Color because the stupid manufacturers won't set the color to the standard and in some sets won't let you set it to the standard. If I had my why we would be using the metric system now.
nick3092
It wasn't permanently attached because someone made an adaptor between the PS and Coleco. I believe that is an off the shelf PS that someone made an adaptor for. If you are sick of things not being standard, I suggest you get out of classic video games in general. Nothing is standard, even if it has the same connector. And in some cases, connecting something that has the same form factor but different pinout will have disastrous results. And if you want metric as a standard, feel free to move to anywhere else.
bradhig1
Because the Euros didn't use the same power or video system as the US.
bradhig1
https://www.ebay.com/itm/ColecoVision-Coleco-Ersatz-Netzteil-Power-Supply/263184163863?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 It;s a little connector. One thing I can't stand is that the Euros on Lemon 64 keep complaining about NTSC and how they hate it. I don't like PAL and repeatedly run into C64 that won't run here because of PAL crack demos. My anxiety is through the roof right now. Edited September 13, 2018 by bradhig1
