Anyone familiar with Fabien Weiss and\or Retroelectronic Store?

Do anyone here by chance know the Colecovision seller in France named "Fabien Weiss" who runs the http://retroelectronik.com/en/ website\store ? He stopped responding to my emails a couple weeks ago when my package was getting kinda late as I made an expensive order from him a month ago. Even the tracking shows it never left France let alone made it to Canada. I've emailed him 4 times at 3 different emails and the guy just won't reply. He was very active in communication up to and right after the sale but since then he's just ignored me. I'm hoping someone here is friends with him and can find out what the heck is going on here for me. I put in a dispute with Paypal yesterday and he's not even responding to that. I did pay with my credit card so worst case I can call them but I was really hoping it wouldn't go that way. Alas, This guy has $100 of my money and I have nothing to show for it a month later with a shipping method that was touted to only take 5 days to deliver. Canadapost told me straight up that the package hasn't even entered Canada. The last time the tracker updated was in some place called " THE PDC1 AVENIERES" on September 29th where it was "distributed". Whatever that means. Attached is a partial screen grab showing the progress of the package as noted by La Poste & CanadaPost as of today, October 12, 2018:

Hope someone here can help me out.

The tracking would suggest that the package was mailed/dropped off at "La Poste" and delayed for a number of days. I have experienced numerous instances of packages "going dark" using the USPS and then being delivered out of the blue.

Hope it all works out.

Ya, the seller has gone silent as well though. That is the part that got me so worried. Without any movement or update in 2 weeks from the postal tracker or any replies from my repeated attempts at communicating directly with the seller, I'm not feeling very optimistic. :(

3 days later on the paypal dispute and he's not even responding to it in any way. It's sitting at "waiting for sellers response". Anyone know how to get paypal to act quicker than waiting a month? Clearly this guy isn't gonna play ball and I'd rather get my money back now than wait another month. Having $100 out for 2 months with nothing to show for it really sucks. :(

Call them. They work harder for you when you're on the phone.

Hmmm, not sure what happened. I just ordered some stuff from him back in April, took a couple of weeks iirc to get my order. Seemed like a pretty straight up nice guy, maybe something's going on in his personal life that has him pulled away from his business. Never know but I hope he's doing okay.

Maybe you should call him on the phone if you are concerned for his well being. His phone number is listed on his website.

Yeah, that's not really necessary and I don't have time for all that. I was simply making a statement about my business dealings with him a while back. Obviously he's not available to manage his store anymore for whatever reasons and should be avoided like you stated. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you and I thank you for putting the warning out which would save buyers like me the aggravation of having to go through this as well. Fortunately Paypal has excellent customer service (again speaking from my own experience with them) and you were able to easily get your money back. They will let you file cases/claims against sellers up to 6 months from your purchase which is excellent buyer protection. Glad everything worked out in your favor in the end! :)
