twoodland
Check this video out about a LEGO C64. Are we going to stand for that? Is there any TI-99/4A LEGO Master Brick Builders that are up to the challenge? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZelXhbmQng
+Ksarul
ILikeTurtles built me a really small one a few months ago. I'll pass this request on to him. . .
JB
Man, the yellowing on that C64 is AWFUL. Get the peroxide!
iliketurtles
I'd better start designing.
+retroclouds
I'd better start designing. Looking forward seeing what you come up with :-)
globeron
I tried once with my old real bricks of 1980's to build a TI-99/4A, gee it is difficult. Then I tried to do it with: https://www.lego.com/en-us/ldd but also did not manage to do it (and never completed it, not sure if I saved the .ldd file).
+Ksarul
Well, it seems ILikeTurtles is having much fun with this project. He finished a very good reproduction of a Speech Synthesizer and is beginning work on the console. That is going a bit slower because we need more of some odd, specialized pieces than we have on hand, but they are being ordered as we figure out what he needs. . .
iliketurtles
Uh-huh. The Speech Synthesizer actually plugs into the side of the LEGO computer using a rail piece and one of those 1x4 bricks with a notch in it as long as the brick. I might make other sidecars (like the very rare Video Controller and P-Code Peripheral) if I can later on.
jrhodes
Been a while since i tried it, but the LDraw and MLcad projects are still around and pretty useful for making virtual lego models.
