bszarek001
Hi everyone. I know there were a few games that wont work on the original two port BIOS. Console5 had sold some replacements, however they told me they had quality issues and dont have any currently. Question is can I simply swap out the 2 port BIOS chip for a working 4 port BIOS chip? Thanks!

bszarek001
Awesome. Just wanted to make sure. Thx
Lynxpro
Maybe make a post in the MarketPlace to see if anyone can burn you an EPROM version of the BIOS. Or, you could contact Best Electronics; they probably have the ROMs in stock.
+-^CrossBow^-
Even if best doesn't have them already, they can likely make them. I believe they make they burn the replacement bios chips in the NTSC Euro mod kits they provide for the 7800s.
bszarek001
So is there a difference between simply placing the 4 port bios chip in the two port and buying the EPROM that was mentioned? Will the four port chip work to restore functionality for those three games?

The burned eproms are just the same thing on an eprom chip instead of a masked rom.
