Emanuele
Now that BC quest for tyres is not on sale any more (or so it seems) in cartridge format, could the ROM become available?
IMBerzerk
If it does... I'm in.

+Gemintronic
Already tried. Well, there you go No official ROM download available. Either they feel another run is possible or they have a lot more projects going on then releasing this for free. That's my bet. I don't think they would not tell us when a free ROM is available. That would not make sense from a public relations standpoint.

Another touchy point is licensing since the comic characters are brand names (and Sierra Entertainment probably exists in some fashion). They might only be able to release a demo.. which means modifying the game making it a "demo" version. I presume the BC characters are the property of Johnny Hart's family.

+Gemintronic
By the way, they could simply put the ROM for sale... My experience is that it kills any future physical runs. Also, no one actually buys it. Also, unauthorized reproductions. It gets complicated fast, sadly. Maybe they could wrap it in an emulator like some Piko Interactive titles on Steam. They would most likely have to negotiate a new license which could get more expensive than expected returns. Well, actually I bought several ROMs. So it depends on the individuals. If physical stock is out, and no further sale is planned, why not... I mean, if free is what you want.. well, you can't have expensive branding. Edited November 19, 2018 by Gemintronic

IMBerzerk
I'm happy to pay for just the ROM. I think 10-15 is fair, and I've bought quite a few already. I don't have anywhere to display or store all the boxes, so I just put the roms on my Retropie and LTO... happy days.

Emanuele
I had a look on Collectorvision website and could not find BC Quest for tyres on sale neither in cartridge or ROM version. Does anybody know if the game is still available or not? Edited January 3, 2019 by Emanuele
