Helo guys,

Im facing this problem on my Atari 2600 Jr NTSC board revision B.

After installation of the AV MOD following this procedure:

http://www.coolretroprojects.com/Atari_2600_AV_Mod_Installation_Guide.pdf

With the little circuit with 2 resistors and 1 Transistor from this site:

https://www.instructables.com/id/ATARI-2600-Video-Composite-mod/

I´ve follow the procedure step by step to AV mod on NTSC, I really don’t know if this is a capacitor related issue, and also if it is the problem, which capacitor I should replace.

It is not a PAL/NTSC cartridge issue, because the color was normal before the AV mod.

Here you can se the photos and screenshots.

all help is welcome

Have you tried to adjust the color like is stated in the installation doc for the JR? It is the large flat wheel just to the lower right of the large filter capacitor on the left hand side of the system board.

BTW I would have attached the ground off pin 8 from the 4050 IC. This way the RF shielding can be put back on without a bulge of solder and wire preventing it from seating flush around the main ground plain.

Try putting in R17 and C33 back in if you can and see if anything changes... Again the guide doesn't state they HAVE to be removed only that they remove them. I tend to test mods with as little removed as possible so it is easier to go back to stock condition if I need to.

I no longer have the R17 and C33, i just need to get the original values from the components, then I will buy new ones when I go for the 7805.

But, from my understanding, only the red component was optional to remove from the guide, both capacitor and resistor must be removed.

I found a guy with similar problem, in his case was a cold solder joint on the voltage regulator:

Its not exactly the same issue, but I will try to replace it and see what happens.

What is difficult to me is to identify all the capacitor values, in order to replace it. If someone have this list, please feel welcome.
