I have found that a Nintendo (nes) power supply will work as a replacement for PAL ECS units instead of the supplied 220

 

Also found that an Atari 600/800 power supply works in place of my Intellivision II 's missing power supply

Aren't both of those 9V AC power supplies, though the Atari one probably is beefier than the NES one is? I haven't looked into the requirements, but if it works for you it is great.

Not sure about the atari. I don't see any markings. But the NES is 9v 1.3 amp. The ECS needs 10v 1amp. The NES AC adapter seems to be working. I will keep an eye on it.

I don't remember the specs, but I use an Atari 5200 power supply on my Inty II's

That you can use the NES/SNES power adaptor for the ECS is a well known fact.

My PAL ECS came with a 220 power supply so I was glad to find this out. I heard that the NES fits the INTV 2 but I couldn't get the barrel to fit the pin

btw. there is no such thing as a PAL ECS. Only a grey or a brown one. They both work either on PAL or NTSC Intellivisions.

I guess I stand corrected. I bought mine from Tunisia in Africa and it was advertised as PAL. Maybe the seller assumed that it was PAL because his Intellivision would have been the PAL version.
