BuckoBrand
The CTIUG user group meeting resuts, play by play are going to be on this topic. So right now, Dad is trying to fix the TI that we brought with us. Eric in Monsterland is a run and jump game like PITFALL!. When Dad starts playing, he instantly dies. Err, Eric dies. Anybody have any suggestions to make Eric in Monsterland work? Edited December 8, 2018 by BuckoBrand

Opry99er
For one reason or another, when we start up the game, it immediately kills Eric over and over until the game is over.
BuckoBrand
You said it, dad. How can you even play the game if you die immediately?

BuckoBrand
It does the same thing with my cartridge! Wow. Anybody whose cartridge does this(except you, Caesar, because you've already told me), tell me. Ps. Can anyone tell me how to fix my Classic99? iliketurtles
Except mine does it on the original cartridge. EDIT: It turns out, my Atari joystick wasn't responding in any way. It didn't respond that time I was playing it. So I switched between that Atari joystick and A Wico Tank Grip handle. It works fine now. HOME AUTOMATION
HOME AUTOMATION GENERAL'S WARNING: MALLOMARS may contain NITRO-GLYCERIN! Eating too many MALLOMARS can be DANGEROUS and a HAZARD to your health.

+arcadeshopper
btw I have it here on f18a console with fg99 and eric works fine, I'm going to lean towards your cartridge image being bad
+Ksarul
Note: Vic's machine has a really old version of the F18 firmware. I really need to make one of Matthew's update cartridges and send it to him. . .

HOME AUTOMATION
In a previous WEEKEND UPDATE segment, we reported that "MALLOMARS may contain NITRO-GLYCERIN! ...and that "Eating too many MALLOMARS can be DANGEROUS and a HAZARD to your health."What we meant to say, was: Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still valiantly holding on in his fight to remain dead!
HOME AUTOMATION
Good one, HOME AUTOMATION! NO! It looks like the joke is on me. Apparently the cause of MALLOMARS' explosions is not in fact from the incidental formation of toxic chemical compounds, internally. They are actually caused by a previously unconsidered external factor. "They literally exploded in the unpressurized cargo hold, and the meringue expanded and broke through the chocolate." P.S. But I am having way too much fun because of this.
+Ksarul
But I LIKE my delicious MALLOMARS! The fact that they will expand in my stomach is a feature, not a bug--it is the perfect diet aide. . .one Mallomar=full stomach=instant diet.
RXB
Nice to see you are using RXB 2015 in that Video. Glad someone mentioned RXB can run TI Basic without any modifications to that TI Basic program in RXB even using characters 143 to 159 and RXB even allows you to use sprites still if you only used say 151 to 159 for character definitions like TI Basic for characters. Also using sprites from 143 to 150 too! Even in BXB that is a problem as normal XB would error out the character definition can not be called in XB like CALL CHAR(151,"FFFF") can never be used in normal XB. Thus you can in RXB write a XB / TI Basic program with sprites and TI Basic additional Character sets both in same program.
BuckoBrand
I hope to see you all at the next CTIUG meeting! Dad is starting an UG. He will call it TRU-MUG, though the newsletter is called The TRUMAN-U-GOAT Times lol
