KevKelley
I was curious as to what everyone's joystick preference was. I had personally enjoyed using a Powerstick, Gemstick, and a Gemini controller. I remember having a boxy gray one with a little square button that i loved when i was little. I think it had a skinny stick but i found it responsive and fun to play with. I have been searching for what it was so that i may acquire one. I also got a new old stock Comrex commander joystick that I have yet to play with but I love the clickyness of the stick. I had one of these but not until I got a Vic
KevKelley
I did some searching and it looks like the Kraft 800-206 joystick, except the controller was gray. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0364/6305/products/98cedd0b0c2b401792ffc9059415f06a_large.jpg?v=1524956585 Edited December 27, 2018 by KevKelley
edladdin
My daily driver for 2600 and 7800 is an All-Play 4/8: Supreme 78. Its my favorite for the ambidextrous play and the ability to easily and instantly lift the control panel and change the restrictor plate from 4-way to 8-way.
adamchevy
I really like the Best Electronics rebuilt CX40 controllers. Mainly I play with a Supertwin 78. Edited December 27, 2018 by adamchevy

Doesn't that leave waffle patterns on your hands?
Atari PAC-MAN Fan
Personally, I think the CX40 joystick with the stick-stand is the best. It's even better if you can find the ball attachment!

+Yurkie
How about an original that works properly. Hard to find but nothing better IMO.
AW127
Competition Pro, Suzo the Arcade, TAC-2, Zipstick, Sanwa Arcade Sticks, Seimitsu Arcade Sticks (many USB-Sticks work, when are connected with "TOM" or "RYS MK-II" adapter on a 9Pin-system). There are a large selection of good sticks, you must choose by your own whats your favorite by trying some of them. Often it's a matter of taste.
digdugnate
I'm partial to my Best-refurb CX40 stick. I love the 'clicks'.
edladdin
Doesn't that leave waffle patterns on your hands? That has not been a problem. The controller is wide and heavy enough that it sits still on my lap, so I can keep a light touch on the controls.
