ChozenToRule
really nice find. but that's not shrink-wrapped unless I’m wrong (which I probably am) I believe most of these didn’t come with the box shrink wrapped, but rather everything inside shrink wrapped, as mine is. Please correct me if I’m wrong though ahah
spacecadet
Well, technically you are wrong - that is not shrink wrap It's just plastic bags. I don't think anyone's suggesting it didn't come that way, just that it's not shrink wrap. That's a different type of plastic wrap.

Please correct me if I’m wrong though ahah but the contents are not (shrink wrapped) - are they? they're just wrapped. shrink-wrapping is a packing process designed to package (a product) in a flexible plastic wrapping designed to shrink around the products physical contours for protection. - typically the sealing of the contents is via a heat-shrinking process. The manuals and the games are actually shrink wrapped, the rest is still in the original plastic wrap that it came in.Im sorry haha Edited December 27, 2018 by ChozenToRule

Im sorry haha but that's not what you said originally. you said EVERYTHING inside was shrink wrapped. if you want to sell this, when you advertise it - you'd be better off saying "all in original packaging" - that's much more likely to attract buyer interest. Just going from what has been sold, if that price offered is reasonable then would someone say something please I already said Im new to this haha Welcome to AtariAge and great find! He probably said that you're a "piece of it" because you claimed to have no clue on the value and then came back with a $700-900 value. It's seems a little underhanded although you should do some research. Selling for $100 would have been way too low. Can you link the auctions you found for $700-900? Also, where are you located?

I found those numbers interesting, so I did a "qwik-look", since I use the same system. I did find 2 sold listings that were 600-800 range but sold in the same week in November. My guess is two people with more $ than brains fought it out on them. I'd say condition of this one is right between those two, but 2-3 is more inline with typical upper prices. These aren't exactly rare and Best still sold them new until recently. A one-week return isn't enough to predict a trend yet. I don't know why those didn't show up on my original search. I'm sure yours would do well on eBay. Good luck with your sale!
Rick Dangerous
Geeesh....I feel bad for anyone paying $600 and above for an XEGS. Think I paid about $150 for mine. Yeah this is not the place to come for "top dollar." More friends and family prices are what people go for on here. I'd put this on ebay; should bring in $300-$400 realistically. TrekMD
I bought a boxed one this year for $250. It was as complete as this one is.
