Use PLAY SIMPLE for your music

And SOUND 2 for setting tones for your sound effects.

Could you please take a look at the sample code below and tell me what's wrong?

Whenever I enable that ON FRAME statement, music gets messed up.

ON FRAME GOSUB Play_Effects

INCLUDE "constants.bas"

WAIT

Play Simple

Wait

Play Title_song

wait_input:

IF CONT1.UP THEN sound_effect = 1: sound_state = 0

IF CONT1.LEFT THEN sound_effect = 2: sound_state = 1

IF CONT1.DOWN THEN sound_effect = 0: sound_state = 0

GOTO wait_input

Play_Effects: PROCEDURE

ON sound_effect GOSUB sound_none, sound_rayready, sound_explosion

END

sound_none: PROCEDURE

SOUND 0,,0

SOUND 4,,$38

END

sound_rayready:PROCEDURE

SOUND 0,2000,10

sound_state = sound_state + 1

IF sound_state = 6 THEN sound_effect = 0

END

sound_explosion: PROCEDURE

SOUND 0, 1000, 15 - sound_state / 2

SOUND 4, sound_state + 12,$30

sound_state = state + 1

IF sound_state = 20 THEN sound_effect = 0

END

Just tried latest version, I like all the updates. The quick mention of what power you just got helps,

the game gets pretty frantic at times and sometimes I don't remember what each one is.

And the color change after a few levels, while simple, does give a sense of progression and variety.

One thing I noticed (I think?), at the beginning of each new level, your swarm of bees, if it was depleted in the previous level, still seems to be depleted.

In previous versions weren't you back to a full swarm at the beginning of each new level? Or am I mistaken?

Just wondering.

Steve, thanks as always for your feedback and comments.

To your question, I think earlier versions did refill all the energy. However, at one point I changed that to increase the challenge a little bit.

As it stands, you get a little energy after clearing each level. That can be seen by an increase in hearts, and also by the swarm size.

Hope that helps... BTW, I still got your idea of adding a haywire laser in mind... thinking about a way to do it...

Sorry about the absence, I got a new job and moved to a different state over the last few months.

May be able to come back to this project, if I can eventually remember what exactly I was doing :)

Has there been any progress for this project?

Oh man... this was basically my first stab at writing a game with Intybasic.

I can't stand looking at the source code nowadays, it's pretty bad and needs to be revamped.

Just can't bring myself to do it given other more exciting projects.

I think Carlos has been busy doing HELI, Antarctic Tales, Canyon Bomba, Not the Goonies...probably a few more..

Well, HELI and Antarctic are done at this point, at least I haven't heard from testers anymore.

Canyon and Goonies (or whatever that will be) are work in progress. When I get tired of one, I switch to the other.

Other than that, just kicking around some ideas, and "cheerleading" the SotB demake.
