XB1

Borderlands 2 (114 min)

Started playing BL2 coop with my brother. Originally played it when it first came out on the 360, so it's been a while, and it's new to my bro.

PC

Reigns (89 min)

Got the GoT Reigns on sale, and then realized I never played the original, so I played that for a bit.

Only one modern game for me this week:

XBox

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 - 49min (Interesting that I played the same amount of minutes on this as I did of Castlevania Bloodlines for the Classic Tracker. Front 9 was meh, but five birdies and an eagle on the back made me seven under for the round.)

I'm pretty wiped out from the last day of vacation today so it'll be another week of just posting my household's times without any picture or writeup, but I think next week I should be able to get back to the usual routine. :)

We have a saying in Swedish: "Gammal är äldst", which translates as the old is the oldest, experience beats youth. This is kind of true this week as PUBG sails back into the lead. However Switch still dominates among the systems with nearly 49% of the total amount of minutes.

Xbox One

PUBG: 212 minutes

Call of Duty WW2: 181 minutes

My main PUBG buddy was on a cruise all week. Only one night of play time. Playing solos makes my anxiety ratchet right up, so I tend to stay away from that. He should be back tonight, so hopefully I'll have some more minutes for next week.

I finally started the campaign for COD: WW2 this weekend. I'll try to get all of those achievements & then I can move on.

got a couple different ones for this week- i started up FF X and also have been plugging along with Downwell. Downwell is a pretty slick game :)

Looking at the rules, I hope I'm interpreting them right for Final Fantasy X; it came out on the PS2 platform but I've been playing it on the Switch.

PS2:

Final Fantasy X -- 1453 minutes

Switch:

Downwell -- 840 minutes

Tetris 99 -- 124 minutes

Yoshi's Crafted world -- 120 minutes

Very little in the way of modern gaming around here this past week, but we did just get a EverDrive GBA X5 in the mail today so there should be a good bit of Game Boy Advance time coming next week. :)

For now though, this week's modern gaming was limited to just:

Netflix Interactive

You vs. Wild - 16 minutes

6. Arcade - 15 min.
7. PC - 11 min.

Total 3308 minutes and 11 different games on 7 different systems.

We're just past Easter and it is a little bit of upside down world here with Final Fantasy X (PS2) on its own leading both lists. Our newest format addition is Netflix Interactive, plus that one of the arcade games listed in the classic tracker was moved here.

If anyone was late to post their play time, don't worry. I'll add your minutes for next week.

Here are my times for this past week (April 22st through 28th, 2019)...

Atari 2600:

Fix-it Felix Sr - 4 min.

Heartbreak - 13 min.

Sheep it up - 4 min. in 2 sessions

Atari 7800:

T:me Blasto - 39 min.

Commodore 64:

Crossfire (Sierra) - 15 min. in 2 sessions

Super Mario Bros - 5 min.

This week I tried the new C-64 version of Super Mario Bros. which is already a bit hard to find because Nintendo went after the main sites distiruting it (why did I expect this to happen?), and then while I was at it, I also played some Crossfire (by Sierra, there's another Crossfire by a different company with completely different game mechanics), and after that I retried the Atari 7800 game T:me Blasto which Crossfire is based on because I picked up a new strategy for both games which consists of mainly staying still and only waiting for enemies getting into your lane, anticipating their entry and shooting them before they are able to shoot you. This worked better than my previous more aggressive strategy and lead to me finally making the 4th level of Blasto in order to reach the 2nd challenging stage which has got the enemies running in a different, more complex pattern than in the first challenging stage.

Othere than that, I tried 3 Atari 2600 homebrews I hadn't tried before. Fix-it Felix Sr. seems to be a decent conversion although I don't remember the oroginal gameplay too well anymore. In "Heartbreak" you have a heart in the center which constantly changes color and tries to hit the blocks surrounding it with a ball going into a ranbom direction, by rotating the blocks so that the ball is able to hit the coprrect ones. Then there's sheep it up where you try to throw up sheep from platform to platform by throwing your sheep at the right moment in order to catch the next platform.

Ah yes, someone tried to tell something pretty confusing about something, but I can't remember what it was.. maybe it was only a dream though.

XBoxOne

Tempest 4000 - 10 min (I finally got it to register my scores on the high score board! I don't know what I did differently, but when I first got it, it refused to record my scores. I'd play a game, get a score, go to the score board, filter by friends and there was nothing for me. There were only two other people on the board... so even if I sucked and was in third place, it should have shown me, but it wouldn't. Didn't matter what game mode or anything, just wouldn't put mine up there. Anyway, figured I'd try it again, and it worked this time. Might be spending more time with this now that the scoreboard works. It annoyed me enough that I haven't really played it since I got it.)
