Noticed these pong tables, keep coming up every year at CES.

So did they ever get released. I'm sure they're pretty expensive:

Around $2000 and more...

They were at PRGE in Oct, too.  They seem to be pretty popular at the shows.

https://www.engadget...t-so-expensive/

The home edition is priced at $3,000, arcades can grab one for $4,299, while the cocktail twist retails for $4,499.

Beautiful looking devices, but I would not spend $3000 US on one.

Personally I prefer my $20 Tomy Blip unit:

from the 70's, still works.

You can see prices for the small one and request a quote for the big one at their website.

They're not for me.

Did anyone check the hourly hotels in the area for an Atari VCS exhibit?

Ars Technica recently posted an article that gives a tour of several arcades in Japan. One of them had this Pong unit. The author noted that although the paddles and ball have a convincingly video-gamey movement, there is significant lag between rotary controller input and paddle movements that makes them unsatisfying. You can find the Pong pictures and captions in the first picture gallery: https://arstechnica....aming-in-tokyo/

I backed the kickstarter and have yet to receive the table. I got an email recently that sounded like I would get one soon. It has been the typical kickstarter shit show of terrible planning and missed timelines.

I bought into a Kickstarter in Nov 2017 for a miniatures war game for about $75.  The items were supposed to originally ship July 2018.

Delay after delay... now they are saying February... but I don't think they said which February...
