so check out this demo.

 

in theory to port this into A8, what would you do:

- use HW sprites?

- seems impossible since the char looks hi-res to me and has 3 colors (hair, body lines, outfit) , also width seems much more than 8 pixels.

 

- use Software sprites? 

- a good possibility , char is relatively big, rendering it on screen and animate it (especially over background) will require hi cpu

 

 

thoughts?

Using software sprites and PMG underlay would be the way to go (to make it look about the same) but it would never be useful for anything but an animation demonstration.
