Will the update let us get latest activity for specific forums and threads?

As it is right now, we can click on Activity and "spy" on all of the forums or followed content. I was just wondering if there will be a new button near the top of forums and threads that will let us "spy" on a single thread or forum that we are monitoring at the moment. That would be very helpful when multiple people are trying to figure something out and you'd like to be notified the second they reply without needing to refresh the page.

 

I guess it would be similar to the notification you get when you're in the middle of typing a new post and other people have replied. The forum software asks you if you want to read their posts before you're done typing.

 

 

Example 1:

 

I could go to the batari Basic forum and let it sit there while I'm working on a program and a notification would pop up if anyone creates a new thread or posts in a thread.

 

 

Example 2:

 

I could go to a thread where we are trying to figure something out and let it sit there while I'm working on a program and a notification would pop up if anyone posts in that thread.
