Humblejack
How well do you know your Intellivision? This is a question that is based on my knowledge of Intellivision. I have only come across one but here may be another that I am not aware of. All of the copies I know of are the same so they came from the factory this way. It does not fold out like most of the INTV Inc version, nor does it flip up. Jason and Steve, I know you know so no fair helping. What it the only book style instruction manual that has no staples in the spine? It is glued instead.
Intymike
The one that came directly to my mind has a spiral binder.
+intellivotion
that was also my first thought, then I read "it is glued instead"
+JasonlikesINTV
I didn't know until Hank pointed it out. I checked mine and it was the same (glued).
intvnut
I have a guess that I'll PM, so I won't spoil it if I'm right. I'll admit right bow that I didn't know the answer beforehand, but did some looking around...
+SoulBuster
Football Playbooks. I did not look it up. I have just dealt with them before missing pages and coming apart.
Humblejack
Football Playbooks. I did not look it up. I have just dealt with them before missing pages and coming apart. No not the playbooks, I consider them an accordion style and there is no glue on them (unless you glue them back together yourself).
Humblejack
Not many guesses so I guess a hint is in order. It is one of the lesser known variants.
+JasonlikesINTV
We should turn this into a 20 questions Is this from a gatefold or a non-gatefold boxed game?
Humblejack
Gatefold Box

+intellivotion
I forgot about the mystery "glued instead" thing. Is it the manual of a sport network game?
intvnut
Is it a US release, or a release for another country?

+JasonlikesINTV
It's a gatefold Hong Kong release of an Action Network game, but it's a variant that's already kinda unique for reasons other than the glued manual. The glued manual was discovered later and makes it that much more unique. Also, don't bother looking through your collection cause you probably don't own it... Actually you might own it, but never realized that it was unique....I mean, you would if you saw my post about it back in 2014...
+JasonlikesINTV
...so like, you can probably figure it out if you stalk my 2014 post history tonight.
+intellivotion
Is it a Space Armada manual in red box? I mean, it's gatefold box, it's action network, it's Hong Kong, it's "a variant that's already kinda unique"...

I mean, it's gatefold box, it's action network, it's Hong Kong, it's "a variant that's already kinda unique"... Good guess, but no (unless you happen to find another game with a glued manual). Another clue: While it is an Action Network game in a red box, it's not the same color red as the typical Mattel Action Network boxes. +JasonlikesINTV
Good guesses, but nope. Definitely a red box, but a little darker than normal Action Network. Somewhere between Action Network and Arcade Network, but red nonetheless. Another clue: There is an M Network version of this game.
+intellivotion
So, is it the Lock'n'Chase made in HK? It has actually a slightly darker box I think I have two or three of that but didn't notice anything strange with its manual
