PAL Jag + OSSC + NTSC flat tv. Need your help

Hi,

I've asked this before, but it doesn't hurt to have extra confirmation.

I live in a sh#thole called Brazil, and most ebay US sellers won't send it here no matter what (huge thanks BTW).

So after waiting far too long for an NTSC Jag, I've purchased a PAL console from Germany, which I just couldn't let it pass.

Being a PAL console, do you know if I can use it without issues with RGB Scart cables (non Csync, from RGC) going to an OSSC + NTSC 1080p flat tv ?

Really hope it's fine, as my set up here in Brazil is not PAL.

I know the question is super dumb, but I recall seeing somewhere else PAL Jags have trouble with OSSC and got scared, as my Jag is already bought.

Is that so or a bunch of nonsense?

Many thanks

Best regards,

Marcio

Thanks for the reply Zerosquare ;)

Really hoping it all works well and I won't regret my decision, as modding is something I can't do and sending abroad is also a royal pain.

Oh well... I can only hope for the best, will know it for the best (or worse) in about a month when my PAL Jag gets here.

If anyone can also comment, I've bought from Bruce (Myatari on ebay) a NTSC power pack, as my country's AC is 110V.

As he told me, it doesn't need any voltage converter or whatever. Just use the NTSC power pack on the PAL console and I'm good to go on 110V AC.

Hoping for the best as well.

If anyone can comment on this, I'll be glad.

It's really not complicated, even if you never did soldering before.

If you're afraid of damaging your console, there are other options:

- asking a friend to do it for you

- going to a fablab (I don't know if those exist in Brazil)

- asking a shop that repairs electronic devices

Even if your setup works with 50 Hz, modding to add 60 Hz support is useful, since some games run better in 60 Hz (smoother and without black bars).
