Wally1
ok so this guy has recreated the original Xerox Alto Mazewar. For PC and Macintosh. Supposedly the very first first person shooter with networking play, etc. Now with this minimalist tile based game I think it would make such an excellent port over to the Atari ST! Only the source code that's been released is way over my head. Maybe one of us out there can do it!!! Tillek
So play MIDIMaze on a monochrome monitor?
Wally1
MIDIMaze is probably good but am talking about a 'pixel perfect' recreation of the original MazeWar.
ParanoidLittleMan
What is released is source code of recreation, in some modern, online version for WIndows and MacOS - 17-24 MB ++ sizes. That's way inappropriate as base for some Atari ST version making. + I have doubts about that 'pixel perfectness' . Did author count pixels on that VGA video ? Since it seems no other source of very original. I agree that this would work very well on Atari ST in monochrome mode, but it is tremendous work - should do all coding from scratch, and even just porting graphic and maze data in proper formats will be lot of work. Anyone wants to spend whole year on this ?
Wally1
Well it's a great game nonetheless I wish I could code it!
