I think the whole "Megacart" thing is more about cross compatibility of systems, and having on board RAM incase your system didn't have enough to run it. I think anyway. So games that originally required 48K will now run on a 400 or 600XL. I don't believe Shamus II would need extra ram, but wasn't it also a 400/800 only title? IMO, the original has a sort of "classic" air about it, but it is SO simplistic, and for me, it gets old FAST. Case II is very dynamic by comparison. The action is faster and the graphics are more interesting. I dig it when the bird of death turns into the "plasma pong ball of wrath" (or whatever) Plus, the spacebar bug is fixed? Hooray! Virtually everyone here could play these games on an emulator for free if that was all that concerned them. It's the "value added" of having the game in cart format and not the intellectual property for which people are willing to pay. Consider--if someone offered to sell .atr files of these games, how much money wold they make off of it? Not much I would venture... It's probably easier to say that the Multi-Carts are more for value, since the individual titles are more incidental, and what's being offered is the idea of a collection. The single games being sold at retail cost is a little more blantant exploitation of the software. In that case one person's re-published work is responsible for the full value of the product. As most here know, I am extremely anti pirating, be it software or music. This guy is going about it the wrong way though. Preach it, inform people, enlighten people...Whatever you want. BUT, Don't waste your time "narcing" on people. Do you phone the police if you see a speeder? Do you phone the police for a Jay walker? Pirating is a crime. Yes. But there are more positive ways to present your views. While many on this site have slammed me for being so adamant about my views, which many see as wrong, I also realize that "narcing" on people doesn't help anything. I never have. But, if promoting your views makes ONE single person, even THINK about what they are doing, then kudos to you. You have made a point. Let the authorities deal out monetary punishment if you like. They are also quite capable of searching out the crimes. I would think that they probably have much bigger fish to fry. If it's the morality of it that bothers you. Don't worry about Sunmarks morality. That is theirs to deal with. If they think it is morally acceptable to profit off others designs, so be it. If the copyright holders decide that it's getting out of hand, they'll make a cease and desist. Then the morality issue will be decided for Sunmark. But many of my best friends are thieves of music, and they are not assholes. Mostly just uneducated, and for some, stealing only hits home when it is done to them..Not when they are actual doing it. krawhitham would do much better by not reporting the fact that he is tattling on people. Who knows who may tattle on him for whatever law he may break. What goes around comes around. Again, he would do much better promoting his arguement by debating it.
