You're probably thinking of Alan Alda. He did quite a few Atari commercials back in the early-mid 80s. Actually, I liked him as an actor and in those commercials. I have a couple of them, but I know there are quite a number that for all I know no one ever recorded and/or ripped.

Who can forget the great actor that is Alan Alda, he was great in M.A.S.H.! and he has always been a role model for me (Hawkeye Pierce was the name of the carachter he played in M.A.S.H.).

All the things I love seem to colide in one place wich is the one I love the most:

My childhood.

Thanks to everyone on this messageboard for all the memories you bring to me and that I know we all share.

The Atari Historical Society has most of the Alan Alda commercials avail to view. I vaguely remembered them in my youth. But I am sure this is who you are thinking of.

BTW...Atari made a much better decision to Alda over Intellivision's idea to use Plimpton...hehe

plimpton always made me angry because he was making fun of MY system mind you, saying his goofy dial number lookin like a remote for a massage chair system was better..... and i think the reason i didnt like alda was cuz i always wanted an atari comp and never got one, i dont remember much about commericals from way back in the days but those 2.. cant forget them.
