MichaelJMcKernan
I'm thinking of doing this, and I was wondering any has and what the response was like? I'm thinking it could be a goldmine or it could be CRAP. I'm also thinking I'm writing "I'm thinking" too much.
AtariDude
I am thinking that you are right about writing "I am thinking" too much Actually I believe some people have done what you have suggested as well as putting signs in company lunch rooms and they have gotten some responses. I have not tried it yet myself to see if it works.
Lost Monkey
I haven't, but I have thought about it too. Someone locally had an add in the paper some months ago... and it might have been "DaveAtari"...
sku_u
Yes I have, and I got flooded with calls from people who wanted to sell their copies of Pac-man and ET. It does work, but you will get inundated with commons.
MichaelJMcKernan
Commons and common systems would be fine...I"m thinking of writing the following. Wanted: Home video game systems and games. Atari, Intellivision, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo. Call 1-976-Hot-Mike I dunno, I'm thinking I might land something cool this way too. Albert
Alex did this once (probably more than once), and was greeted with the following message on his answering machine one day: Pancake Boy Definitely worth listening to if you never have. ..Al

Brad2600
Xot, I called up that dude you told me about and I'm gonna go over to his place tmw and check out his Atari stuff. He claims to have Defender II and several other games. He even told me that he'd take $9 each for boxed games..but if I wanted to buy 25 of 'em that it' would be $25. Kinda confusing. I'll just see what he's got. He claims to have over 250 games.
MichaelJMcKernan
Man, so that's the kind of stuff I can be expecting. WOW! If I could only get a copy of Pancake Boy or Snapperoo myself, boy would I be jamming. I could have done without the dude's talk about regularity. Hopefully, something equally as retarded will happen to me in my adventure. I'm thinking about asking for Arcade Cabinets too...see what happens. I bought about $300 of stuff off of him for $75, including a few mid-to-rares like Video Cube, Oink!, Pigs in Space, and Crackpots. Good luck, but hold your breath!! Brad2600
As I said in PM, I don't have cash on me now. But come Monday, I'll have some. I'll see if he'll hold onto whatever he has until I can pay up.
