Albert
http://www.atariage.com/development_page.h...evelopmentID=35Anthony Bufort is developing a version of the popular word game Scrabble for Atari 8-bit computers. This will be a full-featured version of Scrabble (even including a dictionary) and will be comparable to versions of Scrabble found on the PC. One and two player games will be supported, with the computer opponent wielding varying degrees of AI. Anthony plans on making Scrabble available for free once it is completed, and hopes to also make cartridges available for a fairly low cost. For more information and an early screenshot, please visit the Scrabble entry in our In Development section. Rhindle The Red
I hate to be a downer (unfortunately, I'm also anal and a realist), but isn't this blatant copyright/trademark infringement? I mean, it would be one thing if he made a Scrabble-like game, but he's actually calling this "Scrabble." It could get him in a great deal of trouble, as "Scrabble" is a rather vigorously protected property; by Hasbro in the US and Canada and Mattel everywhere else. I would suggest that he at least change the name for safety's sake. Send the big one to get the girl and the policeman. I'll turn on the dictorobitary so we may converse with them. ajbufort
I plan on either getting Hasbro's blessing or else changing the name. Anthony
paulvonscott
I like Atari, I like Scrabble, so great! I have a couple of sets of scrabble, and the game on PC, but I would love to play it on my Atari. Oh well, good luck with it! Cheers Paul
