capnarrr
Hey, anyone know how to run BAS files (like the ones on the Antic disks) on an emulator (such as atari 800 win)? Do you need to create a disk image or something? Thanks for any help you can give!
+rdemming
1. You need the basic rom image. 2. You need to enable basic in the emulator (A800Win Plus: Atari->Settings menu) (Disable again when you want to play non-basic programs) 3. The basic programs must be on a diskimage (or in A800Win Plus you can also assign a directory path on your system as harddisk for the XL) 4. You need to boot the emulator with a diskimage containing a DOS version e.g. DOS 2.5 (or MyDOS when you placed the basic files in a virtual harddisk.) 5. When booted in basic, load the basic program using 'LOAD "D1:PROGRAM.BAS"' (H1 instead of D1 when loading from a virtual harddisk) 6. Type 'RUN' to start the program Easiest is to place the basic programs on a disk image that also contains DOS. Hope this helps.
