Official Atari Replacement Ribbons?

Just out of curiosity, did Atari make official replacement ribbons for all its printers or only certain models? I've only seen Atari replacements for the 825, 1029, and the 1020 pens.

Probably, but actually Atari did not manufacture the stuff. The printers were generally a name brand in an Atari case. For instance the Atari 1025 was an Okidata ML-80. You can still buy the ribbons today, I think.

What do you think the XMM801 was compatible with? The manual states that "replacement ribbons...are available at authorized Atari dealers...in the same packaging in which your ribbon arrived".

Actually Atari DID make some Atari packaged ribbons (even though I'm sure they were made by other companies). These are what I'm after.

David, look for Mannesman-Tally Spirit 80 ribbons for the XMM801.
