Questions about Contiki for 8-bit Atari

Ok, I've been checking out contiki again, for the Atari 8-bit and C64 mainly, as well as ST and Jaguar. But not all of my questions regarding it are answered at the Contiki main site, so if someone here can answer some questions or possibly lead me to a site with the answers, I would appreciate it. I want to know more about how contiki works with the atari and the 850 interface; since the current 1.0 version states that it is 850 R: handler compatible, does this mean it supports PPP and I can connect a modem to the 850 (P:R: connection is actually what I have, it's supposed to be 100% 850 compatible) and use dial up service to my ISP? Also, it talks about there being some limits, like lack of frames and having to use a special 'mypicodos' because the 8-bit Atari actually has less available memory than the C64...will versions for the 64k, 128k and beyond Atari systems be made? Lots of us have more than a 48k/64k Atari after all...
