All TechnoVision Games

Technovision simply rocks. Gameplay, artwork, carts, packaging, everything is cool. They announced a dozen or so more games, really too bad they didn't get to release any more of 'em.

They were also planning on selling NTSC versions in North America. They had them on display at the 1982 Summer CES and then changed their marketing strategies shortly afterwards. I went to the V-Tech booth at the 1983 Winter CES and inquired about the games and no one there knew what I was talking about.

Where did Technovision (no info about that in the AA Company Guide) come from? AFAIK by now (almost?) all prototypes for the 2600 have been found in North America.

Maybe there are more of them "waiting" in other countries?

At CES, they handed out 4-page fliers. There were screenshots of the games they actually released (Save Our Ship, etc) in the center. The back page listed titles of games that they said they were going to release.

Don't know, but I think most games say somewhere Hong Kong or Taiwan on the lable or box. Atari and other companies too. Maybe not the NTSC Version, but the PAL versions have it most somewhere I think.

And one from mine has a german Manual, and if you look at one from these boxes from Marco they have too german text. The Save Our Ship, I think I can read here Bediensungsanleitung auf Deutsch or somethink like that.

So I think its a german company. But thats all I know or think. :?

Holy crap! I've been into Atariage forum for years but never came to know about the connection between Technovision and Video Technology Ltd (aka VTech or VTL).

I'm the webmaster of the main website devoted to CreatiVision, the gaming console manufactured by VTech in 1981-1984: http://www.madrigaldesign.it/creativemu/

I recently got sealed "shipper boxes" with CreatiVision games on cartridge. A few shipper boxes read "Technovision" printed on them, partially erased with a black marker.

I have never seen any Technovision game box or instructions manual for real, so I *PLEASE* anyone who owns boxed games, or even loose games, or simply manuals, to contact me and share information with me.

I am 99% sure that every Technovision game box has the same "codes" which are also printed on CreatiVision games boxes. A code 90-xxxx-yy is always printed on one of the internal flaps of the box.

Same for manuals. A code 91-xxxx-yy is printed on the last page of manual.

About the games:

- Locomotive does exist for CreatiVision. Probably it was planned for release on the VCS, but never got completed.

- Stone Age was originally announced as Barbarian. It was released for CreatiVision in late 1983/early 1984.

- Pharaoh's Curse was also originally announced for release for CreatiVision in early 1984, but from my knowledge, it was never actually released.

- Other announced games were: Othello (aka Reversi) and Boat Chase.

Please contact me via PM or the CreatiVEmu website to share information! I will send you pics of my shipper boxes, or we can eventually trade them.

PS: anyone has Technovision flyers or catalogues to scan?

Just in case anyone is interested in Technovision stuff...

I have recently put my hands on a few cartridge shipping boxes, each originally containing 4 cartridges.

They are labeled "Technovision", and there's a marker line on the printing.

They were made to store 4 Technovision games, but were then used to store CreatiVision games. In fact, Technovision and CreatiVision games boxes have the same size - they were both made by VTech.
