Albert
Does anyone know of any catalogs that feature Jaguar games? I only have one catalog that features Jaguar games and that's from ReadySoft (Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, Brain Dead 13). Did Atari ever produce a Jaguar catalog of any type? Thanks, ..Al
ATARIPITBULL
I purchased the Jaguars Official Gamer's Guide book by sandwich islands publishing, and it has the write up and solutions for up to 18 Jaguar games. It has a black cover with the jaguar eyes and is pretty thick. I bought this from a seller in California who sells just about every Jaguar related item out there and he goes under the sign in name of Goatari on the jaguar ebay section. I hope this helps any and if you want, I could send over some scans of the book.
atari70s
do your booklet talk about new items to come out for the Jaguar system
Ze_ro
I have this book too, but it's not really a catalog like Albert wants... it's more a gamers guide showing you how to beat games. It's still pretty cool, but it's a little old. It has a preview of Rayman, and interviews with Jeff Minter, one of the Jaguar hardware guys (I forget his name), and the guy who did Fight For Life (I also forget his name). --Zero

Albert, I got an Atari Jaguar catalog from goatari.com a few years back (also a keychain, mug, bumber stickers, baseball hat and t-shirt. - $19.99 - sweeeet! ) The catalog lists some unreleased games (like Brett Hull Hockey, Tiny Toons, etc.). I'll scan any of that stuff you want. Just give me the word.
Albert
Rhindle, quoteI'll scan any of that stuff you want. Just give me the word. It would be great to get a scan of the catalog you have. Later it might be nice to get some high-quality pictures of the other items (I might try hunting some of these items down on eBay myself!) Thanks! ..Al
Albert
quoteI purchased the Jaguars Official Gamer's Guide book by sandwich islands publishing, and it has the write up and solutions for up to 18 Jaguar games. As I was going through the boxes for the Jaguar games I have I noticed two different fliers for this book. One was advertising it as Coming Soon and the other advertised it as Now Available. I've never seen this book myself so I'll have to try and find a copy. It would be nice to get high-quality scans of the cover (front and back) so I can include it in the Jaguar section I'm working on. Albert
Ze_ro, quoteUnfortunately, it might be a while before I can scan it... the monitor on my main computer blew out on me, so I'm stuck using my mom's computer (This also means those cartridge scans I promised will take a while too, sorry about that) No rush, whenever you're able to scan them is fine. Sorry to hear your monitor blew out, hope you're able to get a replacement soon.. ..Al
Rhindle The Red
I'll get the scans to you tomorrow or Monday. The Jaguar Official Gamers Guide is available from amazon. Here's the link.
Rhindle The Red
Oh, and as for the other stuff; the mug, bumper sticker and keychain are fine, but I regularly wear the hat and t-shirt so they're not really in archival condition.
Ze_ro
I have a brochure around somewhere that (I think) came with the Jaguar itself. It's black, and mostly has the original games in it (Trevor McFur, Club Drive, etc). I'm not quite sure where it is at the moment, but when I find it, I'll let you know. I remember having a couple of these too. Also, I have a big Jaguar poster on my wall, and I think the back is a fold out catalog, but I'm not sure. I even have a Jaguar bumper sticker (I used to have two, but I put one on my locker at University ) Unfortunately, it might be a while before I can scan it... the monitor on my main computer blew out on me, so I'm stuck using my mom's computer (This also means those cartridge scans I promised will take a while too, sorry about that) --Zero
Ze_ro
I just found a rather large flier that I had forgotten about. I think it was actually a magazine insert that came in a Gamepro, but it's all Jaguar stuff, and it's 16 pages long (including covers). Strangely enough, all except for one of the games shown actually came out (The exception being Space War 2000). Of course, out of the 29 games listed on the back as "Coming Soon", only 11 actually made it. Pretty sad. I also found a similar flyer for Lynx games that I had forgotten about. It's significantly larger though (32 pages). It says "Grey Matters Volume 3" on the front. I can't tell if it was made by Atari or not, but it's 100% Lynx stuff. There's also a LOT of games pictured that, as far as I know, never came out (For example, Blood & Guts Hockey, Guardians: Storm Over Doria, Cabal, etc) --Zero
Gunstar
Yeah, that's about it for Jaguar type catalogs; one or two out of magazine promotional inserts, an old one that came with the Jag way back, and a few old adds with "available" and "coming soon" adds...no other "official" catalog of Jaguar games were made besides these. Hold on to them guys, they are pretty rare! Especially the magazine insert ones!
