The Helper
I have been into Jaguar ever since it came out but I did not get into collecting for it until late. I realize that alot of the people that post in these forums have extensive Jaguar collections and was wondering what types of interesting items highlight your collection. The ones I have are not that great but this is what I think is special in mine Battlesphere Custom made overlays for games such as Worms, Zero 5, Battlesphere, etc... A Jamma LX Joystick Spacewar 2000 Prototype Custom made Tempest 2000 Rotary Controller A rare Cannon Fodder strategy guide. My set of 4 Pro Controllers
Albert
Well, I have nothing extraordinary in the way of hardware (just all the normal stuff that Atari produced). As far as software is concerned, - BattleSphere - Air Cars - Spacewar 2000 - Speedster II Haven't really been collecting too long for the Jaguar yet, and I bet there are tons of Jaguar prototypes floating around out there. Well, maybe not floating around, but we know that there were many Jaguar games in development that never saw the light of day. So one can hold out hope that they'll be discovered and dumped. Of course, until a decent Jaguar emulator hits the scene those dumps might not be very useful. ..Al
Songbird
Where do I start? Alpine boards Flash carts Proto-games-o-plenty Aircars #1 and #2 (the only numbered Aircars carts in the world, BTW) Rapid Fire Controller Developer CDROM unit Developer Jags BattleSphere Source code to multiple Jaguar games Custom-built rotary controller Saturn Virtua Arcade stick converted for Jag ProControllers etc. Believe it or not, I actually still don't own a few games, like DDV, Hover Strike (cart), and Dragon. Maybe someday I'll make it a complete set...
The Helper
Are you ever going to do any more of those rapid fire controllers?
Ze_ro
I haven't been collecting much for this system in the last long while. In fact, the only thing I've bought for it in the last couple of years was Syndicate. However, I somehow managed to get: The Catbox (Any estimates on production #'s?) Primal Rage (Yeah, it's only a 5) Jaguar Official Gamers Guide And that's about it. Since I'm not a terribly serious Jaguar collector, I think that's still pretty decent. Sadly, the Jaguar is pretty low on my priority list lately.... 2600 is at the top, and Lynx is second. --Zero
Albert
Here's a picture I took of Carl's prized Jaguar/Lynx possessions at this year's CGE: Are the ProControllers that rare? I have at least one of them and I figured they're pretty common. ..Al
The Helper
Pro Controllers are not that rare. They just tend to be expensive on eBay. I just really like them and since i have used one I cannot go back to the standard controllers.
Gunstar
Hey Carl, got an extra Flashrom to sell? That's cool that you made a cart for Phasezero. I'd love one of those...which reminds me, Carl, do you know who ever got that I-war "proto" on flashrom? The one we both wondered if the texture mapping shut-off option worked or not? How many of those Brett Hull carts are there? I thought someone else had the only copy of that(on cart). Ever think about re-releasing Aircars and maybe releasing Phasezero carts? I get both, even if they were special order. my rarities: *Jagstick MAAS arcade stick (this is not a Jamma, it is MUCH better and compatible with all my other atari systems too, except the 5200-I made it myself) *Custom Rotary controller for T2k (further customized by your's truely to be different from the rest) *Flashrom (unfortunately it has broken) *Battlesphere&JUGS *2 procontrollers *SpaceWar2k *Full color Battlesphere instructions (available to anyone who has JUGS) *Lots'o custom made overlays * tons of real ads and articles spanning the Jaguar's lifespan, taken from the magazines I used to have Aircars and a Catbox, but traded them for my now dead flashrom. Anyone think they could repair a flashrom with a couple of burnouts on the board? it could be damaged further, but I have a suspicion that it's not. I just don't have the right equipment to repair surface-mount technology (it's so small).

Gregory DG
Shoot, I'm just glad to have a Jag CD, Battlesphere, JUGS, Aircars, Skyhammer, Protector, Breakout 2000, Towers II, Zero 5, and some other semi-rare Jag games. Oh, and I'll probably be getting a new dev toy soon. :-) --Greg
d8thstar
i have the original stamper to Primal Rage. Basically, any CD that you guys have out there was made off this stamper, it's "the mother". other then that, an audio cd for the jag cd hardware launch day... Songbird
I hope to have more Rapid Fire Controllers in stock by Christmas. It takes a long time to make a small qty., and they usually sell fast. Gunstar, I may have a spare flash cart to sell in a few weeks. I'm also shopping around for Prot SE playtesters, and you need to have a flash cart to be one... Note that not everything in that CGE pic is mine. Everything with the little text labels was on loan from Scott Walters, and a few unencrypted CD games were supplied by the show organizers. It's pretty cool what Jag fans have been able to snag over the years.
Songbird
Sorry, forgot to login. That previous post was from me. Is there some way the board could be configured so if you're not logged in, you can log in on the same screen as the reply you're typing? As opposed to having to click on a link and go to a separate screen? Just a comment...
The Helper
I guess we need to keep an eye on your website for those rapid fire controllers. I am very very interested in getting one of those along with the only Songbird game I am lacking - Soccer Kid.
Tempest
Nothing too out of the ordinary. Primal Rage (boxed) Towers II (boxed) Brain Dead 13 (no box) Space Ace (no box) NBA Jam (boxed) AVP (boxed) Rayman (boxed) and so on and so on. Actually I have every game boxed except for: Battlesphere Aircars Atari Karts Breakout 2000 Battlemorph Attack of the Mutant Penguins and some of the Songbird releases (I'm working on it) Tempest
Gunstar
That's how I do it; never log out. Also, some of the new browser versions including the latest MSN and Netscape browsers have options for them to automatically log you in to any forum of which your a member. I'm sure others do too... Carl, what type of equipment is required to make cartridges like the Phasezero one in that picture? I am interested in any flashrom you might be able to sell me, and being a tester for Protector SE. mshaver76
Well, my rarer highlights would have to be: Atari Jaguar system -- hey, if I didn't have this all the other stuff would be useless, right? Jaguar CD 2 ProControllers Breakout 2000 Defender 2000 Alien vs. Predator Protector -- Don't know how I forgot to add this. quote: Originally posted by Songbird: Is there some way the board could be configured so if you're not logged in, you can log in on the same screen as the reply you're typing? Songbird
To make your own cartridges for any cartridge-based system, you need: PCB Appropriate EPROM chips Game ROM EPROM burner Maybe some soldering skills (depends on what kind of PCB you're using) Cartridge shell I won't know about an extra flash ROM cart for at least another week or two... someguy
quoteCarl, what type of equipment is required to make cartridges like the Phasezero one in that picture? I would like to have something like that as well. It's strange that myatari.com makes copies of the SW2K cart, but not other protos.

Adrian M
A mint and sealed copy of Atari Karts which I purchased back in June and a mint copy of Rayman. All complete with boxes, inserts, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, but these are some of the more valuable Jag games out there.
Adrian M
Oh, and I forgot to mention the Iron Soldier Poster that I have. It's the only one I've ever seen and it proudly hangs in my home office as a testament of the best mech game series ever made.
