Atari Pilot Language % Commands

I have the Atari Pilot language cartridge and the "Student Pilot" manual.

It mentions, but does not explain the "%" commands. I have been able to figure out some of the them, e.g. "%J0" for the joystick and "%T8" for the joystick trigger, but need some help.

What are %A, %M, and %Z used for?

Also can someone confirm whether or not %F can be used to determine the amount of free memory available?

This information should be in Atari's "Pilot Primer" book, but I don't have it and can't find it.

Thanks!
