NE146
Awesome.. Now that's some DEDICATION my friend How long did that take? As Nigel would say: "How much higher can you go? The answer is none... none more higher"
Pitfall Harry
Thanks, it wasn't easy. It took me two months of intense playing to work my high score up from about 70K to the 999999 mark. The game itself took about an hour and 20 minutes to play. Ben
Fretwobbler
Well done Pitfall Harry! I cant believe it only took 1 hr 20 mins to finish! When ive hit a measly ~300K I could swear its taken longer than that! I'm in awe of anyone who can max out that game

tiggerthehun
Was the VCR on top of the TV there to record it?
AtariDude
great job and picture.
JB
Was the VCR on top of the TV there to record it?Not a TV. It's a C64 monitor. If it's anything like my setup, the VCR is there to convert RF input to composite output.
Cootster
And this is what you spent all the time you weren't posting doing? Really nice . . . I'd never have the patience to pull that one off . . . Heck, the only things I've ever rolled over were Dancing Plate and Genesis Madden . . . Which company did he work for? Seriously, great job on the hi score. Hex. [ Say goodnight Gracie... ]

Pitfall Harry
Thanks to all for your congrats. Yes, I use the VCR to convert the RF signal to composite output for my Commodore 1701 monitor. But I also used the VCR to record the game to tape. Sorry I can't post more frequently. I don't have internet service. Ben
uosipa llamxew
Sorry I can't post more frequently. I don't have internet service. I'm not sure if you have a computer to access the net or not, but Netzero and Juno offer 10 hours of free service per month - you just have to deal with their connection software and commercial advertisements. Or also, I am using a service called Access4Less (access4less.com). Service is like 5.95 per month, and is much better than the service I was getting from Netzero. You can't beat the price for sure. Thomas Jentzsch
Don't you have something like what we call "Call-By-Call"? You don't need any contract or pay a monthly fee, you just pay for the minutes you are surfing (~0.6 - 1.0 ct). So all you need is a phone and a modem.
