Mgfarley
Does anybody out there know if it's possible to buy or make an adaptor that'll allow me to connect my Jaguar controller to my PC's USB port? I know i can get a proper pc controller for a few dollars but i'm hopelessly addicted to the Jaguar controller (and most pc controllers don't have nearly enough buttons)
Stone
You can get one for the parallel port. Look up 'dpadpro'. Stone
+Stephen Moss
The parallel solution is easier and although USB should be possible its not easy (I'm trying to go the other way, PC controller to Jag) There are PIC Microcontrollers that contain USB slave devices that you can use as the interface device between the JagPad and the USB Bus, you will need to download specific library files for the USB slave part of the device from the Microchip website ( www.microchip.com ). Having said this you will also need both hardware and assmebly programming skill to write the software for the Microcontroller and download it into the device or a good BASIC compiler if you can't handle assembler. You wont be able to use the additional buttons unless you write your own software that is aware of them or you own USB device driver software that could read the buttons and force them into the keyboard buffer so that you could then map some of the keyboard keys to them otherwise the software your using them with is just wont recognise them. Alternatively you will need to know what your existing USB device driver software requires and make the outputs sent from the JagPad compatible with it so that you can just plug it in. Your biggest problem though will be that most software will be expecting a binary coded analogue value and you will only get digital from your JagPad thus the PC will only see a 0 or maximum input values for directional controls and so your control will be very poor. If you have not done so you will need to star but reading the USB specifications (375 pages) and the suppliment on HID devices (100 pages)

mckafka99
I have one as well - it works really well.
Serblander
I have one as well - it works really well. I have one as well... but not all buttons on the jagged work well (some repeat other button functions). Weird thing is, these are reversed when I use on a PC as compared to when I run it on Mac Never did figure it out...
