Yes but the reason that they dont respond to people asking through emails
is so that when they dump and play roms, music etc... is so that they can
claim money and royalties.
I say that the only reason many many of the old or even ancient games
made in the seventies dont get responded to for legalization is so that
the manufacturers have a reason to sue and this is whats bringing in most of
But why? When developers do this they are costing themselves more money in the long run
and even if they dont decide to claim the lawyers judges etc.. will hold
any one found doing such things costing big name developers more money again
All I can say is this if any of you developers etc.. are reading this you are
just making it harder for yourself yeah sure most old games are getting
the re-release or purchasable roms on the internet (www.starroms.com although these roms are for MAME only certain games free but only one free offer per customer!)
you are not relesing them like they were ages ago they are either
a) remakes b) original games with graphical makeovers or c) does not play or look like the real thing (see ms. pac man on namco museum vol.3)
also any Roms which you want to sell to people should not just be online
not every one has credit cards or even access to the internet!
they should be very cheap if you want to sell them and after a while they
should become freeware or PD
also the compilation discs on psone and ps2 are far too much
every time i look at them its either ive already played or got that or even
theres only 1 game i need ill try to find it at a car boot sale, garage sale
thrift store or flea market.
(what is a flea market any way?)
and the compilation discs should have not just old favourite but old not so favourites! (Tooth Protectors for instance was very limited quantity)
Sorry ive rambled on 4 too long but still this is my 100th post
so i think i can get away with that
What do you think?
(Please note this is only my view it does not in any way reflect the truth in which reality lies! This is the disclaimer!)
