Trade-N-Games
I was wondering if anyone knows why this cart has a different label on the end? I tested both of them out today and they are the same. And the top label is just the same. I have had 20 of this game pass threw my hands and never have seen this. Anyone know the story?
CincYnoTi
somebody else posted a similar picture once before. basically an unusual end label variation.
Trade-N-Games
I saw that post in nov but i still would like to know if someone has an idea why only a few were like this? Was it a special cart give away or something?
MattG/Snyper2099
Yup, I posted the other pic but still have no idea why the hell it has that end label. I thought maybe it was a promo copy sent to a magazine for review but I can't confirm this.

I guess you and me are the only people to have this cart More people might own a copy or River patrol than this cart!
Mindfield
If I had to hazard a guess: 1) Could be a generic end label used if/when they run out of proper end labels for a cart. 2) Could be a later production run to reduce printing costs. (Doubtful since it's all 3-4 color process anyway) 3) Could be an early production run before they had proper end labels.

Supergun
I have one of these. I found it in the wild many years ago. Both Gangster Alley & Planet Patrol can be found with it. (SA-201 & SA-202) They definitely predate, not post date, the standard labels. In addition, the labels look and feel different then the normal labels. Not as shiny / silver foil reflective. Rather, somewhat "cloudy", duller and thicker. I'll dig mine up tonight & post a pic.
+RichG1972
What are the odds that the one with the SpectraVision end label could have been the prototype? Or maybe a promotional cartridge for use in advetisements, much like in certain print ads the end label for a given cart said ATARI on it
Supergun
Yes, it is possible. They could have been early renditions, first runs, media samples, etc. Mind you, they have EPROMs inside of them instead of roms; but so did many of the standard labeled released Spectravision cartridges as well, so in this case it doesn't mean as much. The boards and the internals of the cartridge shells on the EPROM carts are also very different (incompatible as I learned the hard way) with those of the those rom carts.
