Tempest
I don't remember the name of the city, but I think we know almost exactly where it is (it's listed somewhere). We should take a pilgramige when we go to Vegas. Tempest
Marmaduke
That is a dream of mine too. To finaly find where E.T. ended buried and to get all of the cartdriges and give one cartdrige to each and every collector who is looking for a buried E.T. copy. A lot of answers would be found there, like what is behind the COM-MAN conspiracy (a combination of combat and pac-man) and how did Pac-Man managed to reproduce if he has no aparent signs of genitalia. Or probably not, but its funny to know that E.T. ended up buried in New Mexico, probably after having his guts studied by NASA and U.S. Army personel. Inky
I thought I read on a website (here I thought) that the ET's were dumped near Alamogordo NM, and before they were encased in concrete, they were steamrolled...
NE146
Isn't that what you're constantly falling into in ET? unfilled landfill pits soon to be filled with the vile carts?
Nukey Shay
Maybe that's how the whole rumor began. Atari Exec - "What will we tell the bean counters at Warners what happened to all the money we squandered on media hype and shelved projects?" The Prez - "Tell them it was spent on overproduced E.T. carts...that game isn't selling well anyway, so they may buy it." Atari Exec - "And if they don't, and want to see the inventory?" The Prez - "Have E.T. fall in a pit! Take them to a landfill where we 'buried' and wrote off excess inventory...geez, do I have to think of everything?!" -------------------- Works for the Mob. Bob Bytchin
Ahhhhhhh .....and I only live 70 miles from Alamogordo. Time for me to make a pilgrimage. Now where did I put that spare backhoe and TNT?
