Ended rather quickly but eBay Auction -- Item Number: 271542665221 could have been anything with labels ripped off.

That is quite the risk.

That is quite the risk.

The seller (who has a 98% rating) says "I have no way of knowing as I do not play games.", yet his ebay handle is thegamerschoice1.  This guy is full of it!

This thread is for INTERESTING auctions. What I can see on the picture and on eBay IS NOT INTERESTING. Most of your items are also in bad shape.

Sorry about the backlash when you just register to advertise your repros and worn cartridges.

It would be kind of interesting if he sold it in one big lot.

I find this very interesting, unfortunately for me it is not tested but some others may have the skills needed to ensure it works.  I saw the Combat arcade units (rarely) in front of movie theaters, and the controls make this more fun than the Atari 2600 version.

Coleco Combat console for home use; controls and plays like the original arcade units.

I have one of these combat units and the control is spot on. Nice unit. I'd recommend one as long as it works.

Not video game related but an unusual item for Goodwill to have to sell. And it just happened to be my local Goodwill chain.

That's pretty cool, if it wasn't three times as expensive to ship it to me as the current bid, I might be tempted to buy it and fix it up. I would assume the usual "untested" being eBay-speak for "doesn't work" (I sold a bunch of software for systems I don't have recently though, that I really couldn't test, so the are are one or two genuinely untested items out there...)

Almost definitely not a 'real' Stradivarius, there are tons of cheap violins with the Stradivarius name on them.

I came to this thread again because I love the $100 price tag and optimistic description for something that looks like it was found in a swamp: “Mint condition, still shrink wrapped, never opened. Some age/shelf wear to outer box.” http://ww.ebay.com/i...d-/131247080031

Doesn't apply here, but in general people put way too much faith in shrink-wrapping, which is cheap and easy to do to an item in decent condition.
