Stelladaptor on the 800

Folks,

I fired up Atari800win 3.1 to play some Burgertime (checkout the 5200 forum). For the heck of it I set my Input to be the Stelladaptor and to my surprise it worked great with my 2600 joystick!

Im hoping this rings true for the 4.0 version thats being worked on also but I am a happy camper for now!

I played a few more games and it appears all is not 100% good - the fire button seems to be a bit 'sticky' sometimes - Bandits played fine but Gumball Factory wasnt as responsive to the fire button. Movement has worked good regardless of game so far :)

Update - I turned Autofire off and Gumball played fine as did Choplifter XE

I ordered my Stelladaptor on Thursday and received it today. That was quick shipping. I plugged the Stelladaptor into my laptop and it was automatically detected. I fired up the Atari800Win PLus 4.0 emulator and loaded Caverns Of Mars and it worked perfect. All I had to do was choose Stelladaptor from the INPUT|JOYSTICK menu. In Caverns Of Mars, even the autofire works great. Even the packing and packaging are top rate.

BY the way, I am using the Stelladaptor with a Suncom StarFighter joystick.

Excellent product guys.

Thanks

Bill

As long as the emulator supports multiple USB controllers, then multiple Stelladaptors can be used. We had two hooked up at PC5 demoing Indy 500 XE with two driving controllers, using z26.

If anyone has two of these devices, can you try using two at the same time on the Atari800Win PLus 4.0 emulator and let me know for sure.

Also, I found that if you are using the Stelladaptor on the Atari800Win PLus 4.0, the emulator goes into crazy mode if you remove the USB cable. It continualy throws a DirectInput error.

Sounds like a problem with the emulator that would happen with any USB joystick.
