ST Mouse in A8 BASIC

Recommended Posts

Of course, you can use a ST mouse :-)

On most programmes which can handle with it, you simply have to connect the mouse with joyport #2.

There are some assembler routines for using the mouse within a basic programme too. If I remember right one of it was a type-in in the German Happy Computer magazine.

One of the most known programmes using a ST mouse is S.A.M. (Screen Aided Management), what is a TOS like DOS 2.0 gui.

Then there is QUICK, a compiler language, where ST mouse support is "built in". QUICK is very powerful, something like ACTION!, easy to learn like Basic, but since the programme get´s compiled, fast as assembler.
