Lord-Chaos
What is the best way to modify an existing XEGS cart to put an EPROM inside ? I mean what has to be rewired and changed and is it possible to do this fast or will it take a long time for each cartridge? It´s no problem if it would take 30min-60min/cart. I have about 100 Gato cartridges which I could use for releasing games (games written by me or new games written by others, no pirated games). Some of the games are 16K only and it would be easy to relocate them in memory. Is it possible to store compiled BASIC games on cartridges or put disk-images on XEGS carts? Will 16K XEGS carts run on 16K machines like 600 XL or the 400 and what about ATARI 800 compatibility (means will XEGS carts work on old 800 machines, I don´t have an 800, so I don´t know). What can you do with old XL cartrdridges like "Tennis", the old 16K games? And anyone in Europe - Germany, Poland, Austria, Uk etc. interested in creating cartridges/does anyone have games or other programs ready? Using XEGS carts will allow me to offe new games for a lower price than games based on entirely new boards. Thimo
