Are any Atari 2600 programmers going to be at the MGC?  I'm planning on going, and would love to meet one, whether they're a current homebrewer, or someone published long ago :)

there might be a couple of thhe homebrew deveolpers there rob M comes to mind, I'm sort of a 2600 programer I dabble in it a bit before I did my hack of keystone kappers.(I'll be there)

Looks as if I won't be able to go the the MGC this year..  again... :(

I thought $$$ was going to be a problem, and it will be, just as I thought.

sorry to hear that shortly, at least you might be able to go to VGS in july ;)

The VGS shouldn't be a problem, as its half the distance as the MGC. I'm sstill up in the air as to what to bring to the VGS. I'm still thinking the ADAM, and if I can get a good copy program, I may zip off some copies of proto roms I have.

Hey,

Anyone in the Milwaukee area, pull back out your copies of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today and check out the second page of the paper (Page 2A) for an article entitled "Classic games pack more creative play" in which the paper interviewed Billy Mitchell about classic gaming in general and, of course, the Midwest Gaming Classic!

Of course, everyone is going to want to make sure to stop out at the event on Saturday to get your chance to meet him and learn some of his secrets. In 1999, he was voted the "player of the century" at the 1999 Tokyo Games Show and honored by Masaya Makamura, the founder of Namco and the father of Pac-Man!

Beyond that, there are tons of other speeches going on, music that will be played, games that will be there to buy, sell and trade... This year's Midwest Gaming Classic is going to be HUGE! And I can't wait to see everyone at the AtariAge After Party on Saturday night!
