Hehe...looks like you caught the AtariAge plug on Extended Play tonight. Did any body else see that show?

The plug was something along the lines of, if you can't find your 2600 in the closet you can download 2600 games at AtariAge and play them on your PC. With of course a few screenshots from the AtariAge website on the TV. Pretty cool!

I did find one mistake in their strategy guide for classic games though. They said there was no strategy for Asteroids, but I thought that the best strategy was to shoot the little asteroids first (they move faster) and work up until finally breaking the larger ones. Well, it alwys worked for me at the arcade.

Sounds like you are totally new to emulation. There are many other consoles and arcade games emulated as well...and http://www.zophar.net is updated pretty frequently for current emunews. No commercial game roms there though...since all of 'em are still illegal (unless sanctioned by the respective copyright holders). My favorite is still Mame.

Was there a game entitled "Dungeons and Dragons"?

There were planned Dungeons and Dragons releases for the Atari, but they never saw the light of day. On the other hand, the Intellivision did have one released D&D game, here is a link.

ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Cloudy Mountian

As for Intellivision emulators, your best (only) bet is to purchase the Intellivision Lives! CD-ROM.. avalible HERE

Welcome to the classic gaming scene btw

The Intellivision had ONE D&D game? Try three.

AD&D Cloudy Mountain

AD&D Treasure of Tarmin

Tower of Doom (Really a AD&D game, but INTV couldn't afford the lisence)

There is a prototype of one AD&D game for the 2600, I think it was Tower of Mystery or Treasure of Tarmin. It looked good.

Basically, just download anything you've heard of (such as Asteroids and Missile Command), since the Atari had pretty much all the classics made for it. Here's some good games that you probably haven't heard of:

Cosmic Ark

Dragonfire

Adventure (Hey, I hadn't heard of it before Atari)

Secret Quest

Dark Chambers

Wizard of Wor

Mountain King

Thunderground

Enduro
