Atari Label Variations (In the Same Variation)

While searching into my collection about double cartriges, I noticed I've got 2 RED version of RealSports Series : Boxing (PAL).

At the first look they seem similar but looking closer I noticed :

Front Label :

-----------

Cart 1 :

Copyright 1987 Atari corporation All rights reserved

Made in china CX26135P CA400225-135

Cart 2 :

Copyright 1988 Atari corporation All rights reserved

CX26135 Printed in Hong Kong

End Label :

---------

Cart 1: Realsports Boxing Atari 2600 CA400255-135

Cart 2: Realsports Boxing Atari 2600

Why one cartridge has the extra info CA400255-135 ?

and what's the mention CX26135P instead of CX26135 ?

I guess P is for PAL but both are PAL.

Are the both carts original Atari ones ?

Does one of these is a pirated edition ?

Any idea or comment ?

Hey nope they arent fakes

the 26135P is a Pal thus the P

the 26135 i asume is a NTSC (american cart)

you noticed 1987 1988 are copywrite years ( i collect those and varations) but thats all one seems to be PAL one is a NTSC and both have different copywrite years many carts have those

pacman i have has 1981 and 1987

ms pacman i have 1982 1985 1987 1988

It's possible that it was just a mistake on Atari's part. Or perhaps they had an excess of the normal NTSC labels, so they just used them instead. After all, as long as they're selling them in Europe, it's doubtful that buyers would really NEED to know that it's a PAL cartridge.

ZERO ,

i dont think so if you look at every 32 in 1 cart it always says cx-26163P unless its a homemade label which it might not say that. and if that was the case it woudl be near impossibel to look at any cart and tell if its PAL or NTSC. I dont think atari had NTSC labels in europe like they didnt havbe PAL labels in the states.

the best ways to see if a cart is PAL or not is look for a P after the model number and look at the CA number if its a CA400064-xxx its NTSC if its CA400225-xxx its PAL . i Dont think atari swaped labels like that cause it would be too confusing.
